Seven hunger strikers at Camp Liberty face critical condition

NCRI – Based on reports from Camp Liberty, physical condition of seven other hunger strikers have become critical and have been transferred to the Iraqi clinic at the camp.
On the 76th day, these hunger strikers faced serious symptoms including severe headaches and dizziness, digestive problems, lack of sight and hearing, lack of concentration, sleeplessness and intensive weakness.

Two of these hunger strikers have lost 21 per cent of their body weight, two others 19 and 18 per cent each.

Physicians reminded them of the dangers and irretrievable symptoms they will face continuing the hunger strike and asked them to put an end to their strike. However, they emphasized that they are willing to lose their lives in order to achieve their goals.
On the same day, two female hunger strikers at Camp Liberty also became very ill and were transferred to the Iraqi clinic at the camp.
