Iranian dissidents hunger strike continues as their weight-loss passes 15kgs

NCRI – Sunday marked the 64th day of Hunger Strike by hundreds of Iranian dissidents in Camp liberty in Iraq to demand the release of the seven Camp Ashraf residents taken hostage by Iraqi forces on September 1, 2013.

According to a detailed report by medical a doctor, the most of the hunger strikers in Camp Liberty have lost more than 15kgs of weight, and the weight-loss process continues.

Based on the diagnosis of the medical team, most of the men and women who are on hunger strike have lost 20 percent of their weight.

Almost all of the hunger strikers are suffering from sleep disturbance, headache and dizziness, blurred vision, urinary frequencies, loss of hearing, muscle, bone and joint pains, lack of concentration and memory loss.

Simultaneous with the hunger strike by hundreds of Iranian opposition members in Camp Liberty, Iranians in Geneva, London, Berlin, Ottawa, and Melbourne continue their hunger strike.
A number of hunger strikers in these cities have been to hospital for receiving medical attention.
