Camp Liberty: More Iranian dissidents on hunger strike transferred to hospital

NCRI – Hundreds of residents of Camp Liberty and Iranian dissidents around the world are on their 13th week of their hunger strike demanding the release of 7 Camp Ashraf hostages.

On Thursday, more hunger strikers in Camp Liberty were transferred to hospital due to symptoms caused from long-term hunger strike.

At midnight on Thursday, the physical condition of a hunger striker become very critical. After having trouble in breathing, he was urgently transferred to the clinic. 

The doctors requested him to leave the hunger strike going through a dangerous situation. He is currently under medical care.

Another is being treated after he had a sudden drop in blood pressure, feebleness, insomnia and dizziness. He also greatly suffers blurred eye vision.

On the same day, hunger striker another became critically ill, facing dizziness and imbalance. He is currently receiving treatment.

On September 1, 2013, Iraqi forces of Nouri al-Maliki attacked Camp Ashraf and killed 52 members of the Iranian opposition movement, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Also they took seven residents hostage including 6 women.
