NCRI – As part of the Iranian regime’s factional feuding, the regime’s President Hassan Rouhani in Hamedan, western Iran, targeted members of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s faction and his candidates for the presidency.

“Those who only knew about executions and prisons during the past 38 years, the people don’t want you,” he said in reference to Ebrahim Raisi, head of the Astan Quds Razavi, a so-called charity foundation and thought to be Khamenei’s preferred candidate.

Rouhani made these remarks despite the fact that he has presided over 3,000 executions during the past four years of his presidency and he himself has been one of the main elements of torture and killings against the Iranian people, alongside elements such as Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Mayor of Tehran and a presidential candidate, and Raisi.

“You don’t know them, I do. One day in a session they decided to build walls in the sidewalks, one side for the men and one side for the women. As they have issued regulations in their offices saying men must not work alongside women,” he added.

Yet Rouhani had previously admitted in his own words that he is proud of being one of the first individuals who implemented the mandatory hijab regulations in the army and personally directed these protocols. He also led the way in calling for public executions.

Rouhani was the individual who on July 15, 1980 called for the public execution of political prisoners in Tehran University, according to the state-run Etelaat daily.
