Attack on Camp Ashraf: Asharq al-Awsat

NCRI – A group of Iraqis supporting the Iranian regime and organized by the regime’s embassy in Baghdad attacked Iranian refugees in Camp Ashraf on Friday, the Arab-language daily Asharq al-Awsat reported on Saturday.

The daily quoted a source in Camp Ashraf, home to 3,400 members of the main Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), as saying that, “Groups of Iraqis supporting the Iranian regime and organized by the regime’s embassy in Iraq” gathered around the camp starting at 8 AM on Friday.

The source said the agents used 180 powerful loudspeakers to provoke and harm the residents, a policy that the regime’s embassy has been pursuing for a while with the aim of forcing the residents out of the camp.
