NCRI – A political prisoner was transferred on Saturday morning to solitary confinement at Karaj’s Gohardasht prison. Khaled Hardani was sent to Ward 8, which is controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for interrogation.
The reason for the transfer seems to be the prisoners’ decision to hold a memorial ceremony for Ali Saremi, the 63 year old political prisoner who was executed last Tuesday by the Iranian regime at Evin prison.
The imprisoned head of Tehran’s Bus Drivers’ Union, who was held in Gohardasht prison’s Ward 3, was also sent to solitary confinement in Ward 1 for the same reasons.
