NCRI – A prominent Iraqi politician has written a letter to Akbar Saremi, a resident of Ashraf and son of Ali Saremi, a 62 year old political prisoner who was executed by the regime on Tuesday for visiting his son in Ashraf.
Dr. Zafer al-Ani of the Iraqiya bloc and Secretary General of the Iraqi National Future Front, expressed his condolences to Mr. Akbar Saremi, writing, “Our martyred brother, Ali Saremi, devoted his life to his legitimate nationalistic cause, and that makes him a perfect paragon for freedom-lovers around the world.”
“While offering my condolences and expressing sadness for his martyrdom, I would also like to hail the steadfastness and perseverance of you and your colleagues in Ashraf,” Dr. al-Ani told Akbar.
“You will always be the best examples of how the aggressive policies of the reactionary regime in Tehran and its proxies should be dealt with,” he added in reference to the residents of Camp Ashraf.
Mr. Ali Saremi, 62, was imprisoned by the clerical regime for visiting his son, Akbar, in Camp Ashraf, Iraq, where 3,400 members of the main opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) reside. In a barbaric act on Tuesday, the mullahs executed Mr. Saremi, who had spent a total of 24 years in prison.
