Former Iranian regime minister flees to Iraq

NCRI – A former interior minister of the Iranian regime has immigrated to Iraq and will never return to Iran, a Kurdish daily in Iraq revealed on Wednesday.

The Iranian regime’s Jahan News said that the Iraqi Kurdish daily Laqin has reported that, “Ali Akbar Mohtashamipour, a former interior minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has taken residence in Iraq, where he intends to spend the rest of his life.”

The daily said, “Subsequent to serious conflicts of opinion with the ruling faction in Iran, Mohtashamipour angrily left Iran and took residence in Najaf. A founder of [Lebanese] Hezbollah, Mohtashamipour has said he will never return to Iran again.”
