NCRI – At 9:00 a.m., a group of mourners who were marching on Kargar Shomali Ave. toward Enghelab Sq. were blocked by regime’s agents. They protested the agents by chanting ‘Death to the Dictator’ and ‘Allahu Akbar’.

At 09:30 a.m., the regime agents prevented mourners from entering Tehran-Pars Mosque, east of Tehran. People protested and clashed with the agents while chanting “Oh Martyred Hossein, Iran has turned into another Karbala (where Imam Hossein was martyred)” and ‘Death to the dictator’. Three people were arrested.

In Jannat-Abad, northwest of Azadi Sq. in Tehran, the mourners clashed with the State Security Forces. In Imam Hossein Sq., people protested the regime’s suppressive agents for arresting three people.

Last night (December 15) in Eskandari Ave., people attacked the suppressive forces who obstructed mourning by the people. The agents escaped and one of their motorcycles was confiscated by the people.

People’s protest takes place under severe suppression and heavy presence of suppressive forces. In some locations in Tehran including Imam Hossein Sq. and Enghelab Sq., where had been announced as locations for protest gathering, helicopters are flying above the area to control the situation.
