Aljazeera televises protests against Jalili’s visit by Iranian expats

NCRI – On Monday, the Arab-language news channel Aljazeera covered a protest by Iranian Resistance supporters against the visit to Geneva by the Iranian regime’s representative Saeed Jalili.

The TV channel said in its report, “What’s the use of sitting down for talks that you know are going to prove pointless in the end? This is the question posed by Iranian dissidents gathered across from the UN building in Geneva in protest to the P5+1 talks with the Iranian regime.”

One protestor was quoted as saying that the talks should be stopped and more diplomatic and oil sanctions should be placed against the regime instead.

Simon Henderson, the Director of Gulf and Energy Policy Program at the Washington Institute, told the TV channel, “The Iranian regime says that its nuclear program is peaceful, but the international community doesn’t believe so.”
