NCRI – The Economist last week highlighted the serious impact of sanctions on the Iranian regime, noting in particular the adverse effects on the Iranian currency.
The October 7th reported said that recently tightened international sanctions and freezing of dozens of Iranian bank accounts in the United Arab Emirates sent the rial into an abrupt 15% plunge late last month.
According to the Economist, the Iranian regime’s central bank has injected enough dollars to steady the market, but ordinary Iranians are increasingly worried about the impact of sanctions.
