Iranian Resistance reveals the process of issuing fake warrants against PMOI members in Ashraf

NCRI – The Iranian Resistance has obtained credible intelligence from within the Iranian regime indicating that the arrest warrants for members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) residing in Camp Ashraf, Iraq, was dictated by Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the clerical regime, to the Iraqi government. Relevant documents and eye witnesses are available for any impartial investigation by an international tribunal.

Before launching the arrest warrants on June 13, 2010, through a court that had been dissolved previously, Kazemi Qomi, the Iranian regime’s ambassador to Iraq and a commander of the terrorist Qods Force, met with Nouri al-Maliki to discuss the regime’s conditions on the formation of a new government in Iraq. He asked Maliki to revive previously annulled arrest warrants.

The verdicts, dictated by the clerical regime's Supreme Leader and issued against Ashraf residents had been prepared so hastily that did not bear even the minimum legal pretense. To the extent that authorities at the Supreme Criminal Tribunal have protested saying that the verdicts do not specify any compliant, nor any charge or specific reason based on which arrest warrants could be issued.

Surprisingly, Kazemi Qomi took along Monir Hadad to his meeting with al-Maliki.  Haddad, a dismissed judge from the Iraqi Supreme Criminal Tribunal is well known for his support for the Iranian regime and implementing its directives.

Kazemi Qomi asked al-Maliki to revive the arrest warrants against Ashraf residents in order to enjoy greater support from the Iranian regime for the formation of a new government in Iraq. Thus the documents forged by Iranian regime's Qods Force and Ministry of Intelligence and Security were delivered to al-Maliki and asked al-Maliki to reinstate Hadad to  Supreme Criminal Tribunal to follow the case against the PMOI members.

Hadad, who was notorious for being an agent of the clerical regime, was removed from this court two years ago due to intensity of fabricating documents and taking side in favor of the clerical regime. According to Alsumeriya News on March 25, 2010, when Hadad intended to enter the building of the Iraqi Supreme Criminal Tribunal to resume his work as a judge, the Iraqi guards in the Green Zone blocked the building and prevented him from entering it.

On the other hand, Judge Hassan Nayeb, the Deputy Head of Iraq's Appeal Court      who was known for his independence and impartiality, was murdered by the agents of Quods Force yesterday. The 'sticky' bomb that blew up the vehicle carrying him and his wife was a type of bomb that had been exclusively sent from Iran.

Immediately following the murder of the Iraqi judge, upon Khamenei's order, in a fabricated story, the news agency affiliated to the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) cited remarks of "Hossein Ali", an Iraqi agent of the clerical regime, and attributed this crime to the PMOI. It announced that "the hypocrites (the derogatory term used to describe the PMOI) are responsible for the terror of the judge of Iraqi Supreme Criminal Tribunal." (News agency of the IRGC, July 14, 2010)

Prior to this, upon the request of the Iranian regime, Maliki’s government removed Judge Naman Al-Ravi the Head of the Appeals Court and Judge Mohammad Saheb, his deputy, since they were not willing to pay heed to pressures exerted on them by the clerical regime and Maliki government in Iraqi elections. Scores of dignified and patriotic Iraqi judges have either been murdered by the agents of the Iranian regime or have been sacked by Maliki.
