Mullahs’ futile attempts to prevent desertion within the regime’s ranks

Sample ImageFutile and desperate attempts by mullahs’ regime in face of paralyzing sanctions and global support for the Iranian Resistance to prevent desertion within Revolutionary Guards and ranks of the regime

NCRI – The Iranian regime, faced with paralyzing sanctions on the one hand and growing international support for the Iranian Resistance on the other, declared the arrest of leadership of the Resistance as “the main task of the countries in the region and throughout the world.” (State-run daily Resalat, July 10, 2010)

Subsequently, Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards Corps, quoted an unknown official introduced as the Iraqi first deputy Minister of Interior as saying that he had received yesterday a letter from the Supreme Iraqi Criminal Tribunal ordering the arrest of 38 senior members of the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI/MEK). The report was broadcast and published again by the media affiliated with the Iranian regime in Iraq.

This is a desperate political ploy by the Iranian regime, the terrorist Quds Force and its agents in the Iraqi institutions that lacks the least legal credibility, especially during the intermission period in Iraq. Senior judicial and government officials in Iraq have repeatedly stated that they were unaware of this matter when faced questions by international jurists.

Everything point to the extreme fear of the regime and its agents in Iraq of escalating international sanctions against the regime and the failed policy of devouring Iraq through a puppet government in that country.

At a time when Al-Maliki’s government has officially come to its end and a new government has not yet been formed, the Iranian regime is playing around with various Iraqi institutions and resorting to propaganda and psychological warfare against the resistance in order to raise the morale of the Revolutionary Guards and ranks of the regime that are deserting it.
