Rajavi calls on international community to condemn Iran regime’s shelling of Iraqi Kurdish villages

Maryam RadjaviMaryam Rajavi calls on international community to condemn Iranian regime’s shelling of Iraqi Kurdish villages and calls for urgent measures to stop these attacks

NCRI – Following the Iranian regime’s ongoing shelling and mortar attacks of the Iraqi Kurdish villages that has led to deaths and injuries of a number of local deprived residents, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, called on the United Nations Security Council, the American forces in Iraq, Arab League, European Union and other relevant international organizations to firmly condemn these abhorrent crimes and adopt an urgent measure to stop the aggressions.

The Iranian regime’s aggressive measures against Iraqi Kurdistan that have been going on for many years and are effectively approved, in the least, by Nouri al-Maliki’s government, openly violate many international treaties and the UN Security Council resolutions. The international communities’ silence and inaction in this respect have emboldened the regime to continue with its aggression and crimes.

Mrs. Rajavi offered her condolences to the families of victims, especially the family of a 14-year-old innocent girl who was killed in the shelling on Saturday, and wished the wounded rapid recovery. She noted that the clerical regime started the suppression of the Kurdish population of the Iranian Kurdistan since its early days of ominous rule and it has now extended it to the Iraqi Kurdistan.
