Iran: Ahmadinejad deputy runs fraud network

Elias NaderanNCRI – A Majlis (Parliament) deputy of the Iranian regime revealed on Tuesday that the First Deputy of the mullahs’ President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, runs a fraud network.

According to state-run media, Majlis deputy Elias Naderan was reacting to reports about the disbanding of a group of people engaged in fraudulent economic activities on the sidelines of a parliamentary session. He said, “Rahimi, Ahmadinejad’s First Deputy, ran the group’s operations.

Naderan added, “Those who defend Rahimi in discussions about financial fraud are unaware of his involvement in a network whose collaborators have been arrested.”

“Rahimi was the ringleader of the group on Fatemi Street (located in Tehran where the network had offices), and made decisions about the corrupt sources and methods of distribution. Almost everyone in his group have been arrested except him. To ignore his arrest because of his role in the executive branch is neither fair nor prudent.”

Naderan called for Rahimi’s arrest and said, “The judiciary must act on its duties by arresting the Fatemi ringleader. That is how it can show that it is serious in its fight against financial corruption. Otherwise it will be a fight against the weak.”
