NCRI – Fire Festival uprising spread to many towns and cities across Iran. In Sanandaj, provincial capital of Kurdistan, the clerical regime’s local authorities dispatched 300 of suppressive forces to block the 17 Shahrivar Street, a main high street in the city, in a bid to prevent people’s gathering. The suppressive forces failed and people managed to get together and celebrate the Fire Festival by fire crackers and handmade sound grenades. In Feiz Abad, Golnaz, Sixth of Bahman and Sharif Abad districts widespread clashes between the youths and agents of the State Security Forces took place. In Haji Abad district people set fire to a vehicle belonged to the suppressive forces.
In Boroujerd, intense clashes occurred between people and the suppressive forces of the Revolutionary Guards and Bassij. People confronted the forces using stones and chanting “Down with dictator” and “down with Khamenei.” In intense clashes that took place in Takhti Street and near Tapeh Choqa, a number of youths were arrested.
In Kouhdasht district of Khoram Abad, the suppressive forces surrounded the whole area to prevent from demonstrating. However, in defiance of the suppressive measures, people managed to hold gathering and celebrated Fire Festival with fire crackers and home made sound grenades.
In Hamedan, hundreds of young people took to the streets of Abbas Abad and Boulevard and Khomeini Square. They used fire crackers and home made sound grenades to mark the Fire Festival while chanting “Down with dictator.”
