Iranian regime summons suppressive back-up forces from provinces to Tehran

Dec 27, 2009 -TehranNCRI – On the brink of the anniversary of the 1979 revolution on February 11th, the inhumane clerical regime, furious and frightened over the nationwide uprising of the people and youth, especially in Tehran, has resorted to futile suppressive measures in a bid to prevent the uprising from taking place or to ultimately suppress it.

As such, a number of special suppressive forces from remote and nearby towns will be transferred to Tehran in order to gain control of the situation. Insubordination by some of the forces during the December 27th Ashura uprising in Tehran with regards to attacking and firing on protestors has cultivated serious worries within the ruling circles.

A group of suppressive forces landed at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport starting at 23:00 local time on Monday, February 8, until 6:00 the next day. They were then taken to various locations in Tehran in State Security Forces (SSF) vehicles. At the same time, 4 columns of about 30 vehicles of suppressive forces entered Tehran from other provinces.
