Brussels (DPA) – The European Union announced on Friday in Brussels that it was prepared for further United Nations sanctions against Iran should the Islamic Republic refuse to cooperate with the international community.
"The EU would support action by the UN Security Council if Iran continues to be prepared not to cooperate with the international community in regard to its nuclear programme,' said a draft of the summit declaration of the heads of state and government of the EU.
"The EU stands ready to pursue the necessary steps to accompany this process of the UN Security Council."
