Student protests in Zanjan, Ilam, Bandar Abbas, and Sistan va Balouchistan

NCRI – More than 600 students at Zanjan’s Ahar Free University staged a protest while chanting “God is great,” “death to dictator,” and “what happened to the oil money? It fed the Bassijis,” referring to the paramilitary Bassij forces of the Iranian regime tasked with suppressing the students.

At Ilam’s Melli University, students began their rally with the chants of “death to dictator,” “death to Ahmadinejad,” and “university is not a garrison.” Paramilitary Bassij forces and agents from the Herasat Office [a branch of the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security on campuses] attacked and beat the students. Some of the protestors were also arrested.

At the Azad University of Bandar Abbas, more than 150 students clashed with plainclothes agents and the State Security Force (SSF).

At the University of Sistan va Balouchistan, students protested by chanting “[the spirit of] university is alive,” and “students die but will not give in to humiliation.”

In Mashhad, students at Ferdowsi University clashed with Bassij forces, chanting “Death to dictator” and “death to Khamenei.”.
