Brutality of Iraqi forcesAshraf attacked – Statement 31

NCRI – Two residents of Camp Ashraf have been injured after being struck by Iraqi suppressive agents all over their bodies. Mohammad Tashayyod is a former political prisoner during the Shah’s rule, and Parviz Karimian, is a long time official of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

Tashayyod was attacked and beaten in his face, shoulder, and ribs with stones, iron bars, and sticks.

Karimian was also beaten the same way and suffers a broken shoulder.

At the same time, attacks against cameramen continued with loaders, armored vehicles, stones, bricks, sticks and daggers. The criminals are extremely afraid of having their inhuman actions broadcast for public opinion and the international community.

One Iraqi tribal figure contacted a journalist and revealed that the participating soldiers and ranking officers in the suppressive operation against Ashraf residents have been promised financial rewards and promotions.
