The end of mullahs’ dictatorship has begun as death-knells are tolling for the regime NCRI – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, hailed the arisen people of Iran whose demonstrations and protests are echoing nationwide. You overcame the suppressive military and intelligence measures and the plots of the mullahs’ inhumane regime to extinguish the flame of the uprising and the absurd claims of the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who wanted to portray the uprising as finished, Mrs. Rajavi said.
She added that despite the unprecedented brutality of suppressive forces today, including the Revolutionary Guards, paramilitary Bassij, State Security Forces (SSF), plainclothes agents, and special anti-riot forces, the people’s iron resolve to attain freedom and people’s sovereignty triumphed over tear-gas and truncheons.
Mrs. Rajavi said that the cry today of young Iranians which has spread to vast regions of Tehran – from the east to the west and from the north to the south – and other cities, including Esfahan, Shiraz, Tabriz, Mashhad, Kermanshah, Kerman, and Dezful, showed to the whole world that the end of the velayat-e faqih dictatorship has begun and death-knells for the mullahs’ regime have begun to toll.
Mrs. Rajavi called on the brave youth across the nation to rush to the aid of injured and not allow them to be detained by the criminal agents and the Revolutionary Guards. She also called on Iranians to help and support the families of those detained. I hope that the G8 leaders hear the outcries of the Iranian nation, she said. The message of Iranian people protesting on streets across the country in their tens of thousands is to end negotiating with the regime and stop appeasing the criminals ruling Iran. In the view of the Iranian people continuing ties with this illegitimate regime is totally unacceptable.
The Resistance’s President-elect said: We and our people are asking nothing from Western countries. Our own people and youth will settle their score with this bloodthirsty regime. We are demanding that the international community remains neutral between the henchmen ruling Iran and the Iranian nation. Our people demand a comprehensive sanction, suspension of diplomatic ties with the regime and a foreign travel ban on regime officials. These ties only serve the interests of the mullahs’ regime and its most extremist factions, specifically Ali Khamenei and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Iranian people demand the annulment of the sham election and the holding of a UN-supervised free election based on people’s sovereignty.
