Iran: Protests continue despite brutal crackdown

Iran: Protests continue despite brutal crackdownNCRI – On the day 21 of the nationwide uprisings in Iran, the people of Tehran went to the rooftops again chanting "death to dictator" and "God is great" (Allah Akbar).  The resonance of these chants were heard loudest in Southern Tehran.  The Mullahs' regime's agents raided houses where chants were heard from, and would viciously attack the people and destroy their property.

According to reports a number of agents of the Special Forces Unit and plain clothes agents were stationed in Bassij quarters and local mosques.

The Social Headquarters of the PMOI also reported that written slogans and graffiti against Khamenei have increased in Tehran. On a large wall in Zafaranieh St. in front of the Tamashagar complex, they have written death to Khamenei, also in Chamran Highway close to the Modiriat bridge people have splashed black paint at a large picture of Khamenei which is on display, the picture was immediately removed by the regime's forces.

Police checkpoints have increased in Tehran, specially in the first district and from 11:00 pm they search every car without any pretext.

Reporting from Mashhad, northeast Iran, the Social Headquarters of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran reported: In a previously announced gathering in Mellat Park, people gathered in effort to march towards the holy shrine of Imam Reza.  In fear of the people's protest which grew in numbers within minutes, suppressive forces of the SSF prevented the crowd from starting their march by severely attacking and beating protestors and forcing them to disperse.
