NCRI – Some 20 young male and female protesters arrested in the course of unrests in recent days in Tehran were put together in a cell not bigger than 5×5 m, according to a female prisoner released after 10 days of detention. She was released after paying a large bail and pledging not to take part in further protests.
“Every half hour the Revolutionary Guards came to our cell beating everyone,” she said and added, “sometimes they took individual detainees for hours of interrogation asking where did your instructions come from? Why were you on the street on that day?”
She described the prison state as appalling.
