NCRI – According to information from Iran, currently thousands of people in Tehran have begun their protests at Rezaiha (Haft-e Tir) Square. The demonstrations are meant to honor the memory of the nationwide uprising’s martyrs, especially Neda Salehi Agha Soltani, a female university student, who was slain on Saturday night on Tehran’s Amirabad Street.

At the same time, a vast number of suppressive forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members, anti-riot special units, and plain-clothes agents fire tear gas into the crowd, attacking the protestors with batons and other weapons. But, people continue to resist while the flood of protestors from surrounding streets continues to join the protest march at Rezaiha.
