NCRI – In a cruel act today, Zeinab Nazarzadeh, 28, and three male prisoners, identified as Hamid, Safarali Nasiri, 30, and Hasanali, were hanged in Tehran's notorious Evin prison.

Zeinab was transferred to an isolated section in Evin prison last night and efforts by her family and friends to save her life failed. She was hanged at dawn this morning after two years of imprisonment. Her mother died two months ago due to pressures she experienced.

Eleven other prisoners have been hanged in Prisons in Tehran, Isfahan, Rasht, Ardabil and Taybad (in northeastern province of Khorasan) since beginning of May.

The Iranian Resistance calls on all international human rights organizations, especially the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, to condemn the deplorable human rights situation in Iran and adopt immediate and binding measures to stop executions in Iran.
