Iranian regime stones two men in Mashhad

Lion and Sun the official symbol of the NCRINCRI – The mullahs' regime stoned to death a prisoner in the Behesht-e Reza cemetery in the holy city of Mashhad on Friday, according to information obtained by the Resistance.

The Mullahs' Judiciary in Khorasan Province sentenced two men to stoning. Both men were buried in the ground and as the inhumane sentence was being carried out one of them, identified as Mahmoud, managed to escape after sustaining injuries. The other man, not yet identified, died of his injuries.

At least nine women and two men have been sentenced to death by stoning and are awaiting execution.

The medieval and inhumane punishment of stoning is carried out even as the regime claims it had halted the practice in the face of international condemnations. The latest sentences were therefore carried out under special security measures to prevent their public disclosure.

The Iranian Resistance calls on all international human rights organizations, in particular, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, to condemn the cruel punishments and severe violations of human rights in Iran and refer the mullahs' human rights dossier to the UN Security Council for adoption of comprehensive sanctions which are needed now more than ever.
