NCRI – The Iranian Resistance calls on all international human rights organizations, defenders of freedom of expression, journalists and writers' unions to condemn the execution of Yagoub Mehrnahad, an Iranian journalist in the southeastern city of Zahedan. It also calls on the international community to fight the new wave of executions in Iran especially that of the political prisoners.

The mullahs' henchmen hanged two prisoners, Yagoub Mehrnahad and Abdol-Nasser Taheri-Sader, in the southeastern city of Zahedan on August 4.

Mr. Mehrnahad, a 28-year-old journalist spent 15 months in prison prior to his execution on Monday.

He was severely tortured by the agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) in prison.

Three other prisoners were hanged in the holy city of Qom on Thursday.

In past ten days, the mullahs' medieval regime has executed 35 prisoners, among them were a number of political prisoners.
