The Mullahs’ regime hanged 29 people to control popular uprising

NCRI – The mullahs' medieval regime hanged 29 people in a mass execution style in the notorious Evin prison on Sunday. Saeed Mortazavi, Mullahs’ infamous chief prosecutor of Tehran, blamed for the  murder of Iranian-Canadian photo-journalist Zahra Kazemi in 2003,  in an interview with the semi-official Fars news Agency, threatened to continue mass executions and said, "Judicial system is pleased to demonstrate its’ might and determination to the noble people of Iran."

The regime's criminal officials, feared of popular uprisings, tried in vane to contain the public anger by giving interviews on the "positive" aspects of their actions. The Iranian Resistance in a statement on Saturday said, “The inhuman mullahs' regime will hang a number of political prisoners among the announced 30 death row inmates scheduled for execution on Sunday. These political prisoners were arrested in the course of last summer's fuel uprisings in Iran. The ruling religious fascism will execute them as "thugs" now."

The Iranian Resistance calls on the international community and in particular the UN Secretary General, the High Commissioner for Human Rights and all other international human rights organizations to adopt urgent measures to prevent mass execution of prisoners in Iran. It also calls for the referral of the mullahs’ human rights dossier to the Security Council for adoption of binding measures against the regime.
