NCRI – On Thursday morning, more than 1,000 Sugar Cane Factory workers and a number of their families in Haft-Tapeh near the southern city of Shoosh gathered outside the security office chanting anti-government slogans.
They shouted, "Monthly salary is our inalienable right," "Workers die but will not be humiliated" and "Job and a decent life is our inalienable right."
Workers surrounded the security office and entrapped Zivar-dar, the head of the security, and forced him to leave the premises.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing helicopters full of members of the Special Units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) flown into to the city. Most of them were scattered in the schools in various districts.
The Iranian Resistance calls on labor organizations and unions and the International Labor Organization (ILO) in particular to condemn the anti-labor policies of the clerical regime and suppression of the workers in Iran.
