Iran: A new suppressive plan “District Security”

NCRI – Brig. Gen. Ismail Ahmadi-Moqaddam chief of the State Security Forces (SSF) described the performance of the force under his command satisfactory this year.

He announced a new plan –District Security — for next year (Iranian calendar year beginning 21 of March) which would be a complementary measure to the controversial "boosting public security plan."

The so-called "public security" plan this year sparked an unprecedented crackdown by the SSF on the Iranian society. Hundreds of thousands of ordinary citizens were affected by street arrests, arbitrary detentions, and more than 300 executions just to name a few.

Ahmadi-Moqaddam elaborated on the SSF new plan by saying that in "each district, there will be a police station setup to ensure the implementation" of what he called the "preventive" security plan.
