Iran: Nine teenagers waiting to be hanged

NCRI – The inhuman mullahs’ regime has sentenced nine teenagers to death in the notorious Gohardasht prison some 40 km west of Tehran. All were under 18 at the time of the alleged crime.  The teenagers are Massoud Kafishir, Saiid Jazi, Hossein Toranj, Mehdi Azimi, Hamed Pour Heydari, Mostafa Naqdi, Benjamin Rasouli, Behrooz Shojaii and Morteza Feizi. The first six are under 18 now.

There are at least 75 juveniles on death row in Iran, according to international human rights organizations.

Such death sentences come at the time when a few days ago the mullahs’ judiciary chief, in a commotion, declared that no public hangings will be carried out in Iran. However, the truth is that the mullahs’ regime, engulfed by domestic and international crisis, has stepped up executions and barbaric punishments to create public fear.

The Iranian Resistance calls on the UN Secretary General, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and all international human rights and children rights organizations to condemn the increasing number of executions, in particular those of the teenagers, by the Iranian regime.
