NCRI – Two men hanged in Iran according to state-run media today. A man identified as Mehran was hanged in public in southern city of Kazeroun, said IRAN daily. Mohammad A. was hanged in prison in Isfahan, central Iran, Kayhan daily reported.
The total number of executions in Iran reported by media in 2007 is over 270 which is well beyond the total number reported throughout 2006. Many of the death sentences were carried out in public.
