Iranian regime, primary concern for countries in the regionNCRI – Terrorist and nuclear threats by the clerical dictatorship ruling Iran is a major concern for countries in the Middle East region. Foreign Minister of Bahrain, Khalid Bin-Ahmad said, “Some of the officials of the Iranian regime are making statements that worry the regional countries.”

Middle East news agency reported, “Some countries in the region such as Saudi Arabia believe that the Iranian regime’s support for Shiite militias in Iraq is the main source of instability in that country.”

The news agency added that last month Ahmadinejad pointed out that the regime was ready to fill the vacuum created by departure of American forces from Iraq.

The meddling by the Iranian regime in Iraq and support for militias has not only caused loss of many innocent lives and intensified sectarian violence, it has also threatened peace and stability in the region.

Egyptian Ambassador to Beirut, Hossein Zarar raised his concern over the Iranian regime’s meddling in Arab countries. In an interview with the Lebanese daily Al-Nahar, he described it as a big threat which should be addressed by leaders of Arab countries.
