Iran: Political prisoners under more pressure

Iran: Political prisoners under more pressure NCRI – Amid increase in mass executions, public detentions, and introduction of various security plans by the mullahs’ regime, the pressure has mounted on the political prisoners and in particular those in ward 209 of the notorious Evin Prison run by the agents of Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

MOIS has ordered an undercover agent of the State Security Forces (SSF) Intelligence Office identified as Mohammad-Ali Kazemi to enter Mr. Saeed Masouri’s cell. He is a political prisoner from the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI). Kazemi began his physical and psychological torturing of Mr. Masouri upon his arrived in the cell.

Separately, Ali Fathi a warden in the northwestern city of Orumieh has stepped up harassment of political prisoners in the facility. On August 23, he and some of his criminal colleagues such as SSF intelligence officer identified as Fardin Kordlor in ward 12 threaten the political prisoners to transfer them to other wards. The prisoners warned that they would go on hunger strike in return.

Fathi, Kordlor, and other members of SSF intelligence office such as Javad Sohrabi, Bahrini, Akbar Afshar, Payman Khanzadeh, Sarbaz Rashidi, and Mohammadi are directly responsible for torturing the political prisoners in Orumieh prison.

The Iranian Resistance draws the attention of all international human rights organizations and defenders of political prisoners to such heinous crimes and called for adoption of urgent measures to save their lives.
