Iran’s Worker Activists Appeal for Help to Release their Detained Colleagues

NCRI – Based on reports received from Saquez, on June 6th  worker activists appealed to ‘Doctors without Borders’ and other human rights advocates for release of their colleague, Mahmoud Salehi from prison.

He was arrested by suppressive forces in 2004 on the Occasion of May Day demonstrations and charged with conspiracy against the regime. According to sources within Saquez workers’ movement Mahmoud’s physical condition is deteriorating and he is in danger of losing his life.

The prosecutor in Saquez has denied appeals by his family and friends to transfer him to the hospital. He has told his family that they have even discontinued giving him pain killers.
