As home to the largest Jewish community in Latin America, Argentina has endured multiple terrorist attacks orchestrated by Iranian-backed Hezbollah mercenaries. On March 17, 1992, a truck with explosives detonated at the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires, killing 29 and wounding more than 200. Two years later, on July 18, 1994, a car bomb exploded at the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires, killing 85 and wounding more than 300 people. The attack against the AMIA remains the deadliest terrorist attack in Argentina’s history.

In a posthumous tribute to the fallen victims and the wounded, and following the 30th anniversary of the terrorist attack against AMIA, U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Ben Cardin (D-MD) introduced a bipartisan resolution to recommit efforts to uphold justice for the victims of these vicious attacks.

The Mullahs’ Regime Failure to Annihilate The Iranian Resistance through Genocide and Massacre

A few weeks before the Free Iran 2024 Summit, Mr. Javaid Rehman, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran, presented a new report describing the execution of political prisoners in the 1980s and the 1988 massacre as crimes against humanity and genocide.

On July 1, the third day of the Free Iran 2024 World Summit, titled “Iran: “Crimes Against Humanity and Accountability for Perpetrators,” many participants endorsed Mr. Javaid Rehman’s report and emphasized the need to pursue and punish the perpetrators of this “genocide.”

Ambassador Joachim Rueker, President of the UN Human Rights Council until 2015, said, ” Professor Javaid Rehman published or talked about a new landmark report in which he, according to reports, concluded that the 1988 massacre of thousands of political prisoners in Iran amounted to crimes against humanity, and it is reported that he also mentioned genocide. I think this report needs to be out there for the public to see what the Special Rapporteur has found.”

Why Iran’s People Are The Ultimate Winners of The Mullahs’ Disastrous Election

Iran, a country rich in culture, has been deprived of some basic human blessings such as joy and the enjoyment of life under the of mullahs’ rule. Happiness and joy have been replaced, and even their civil rights have been taken away. Iranian society has regressed to the point where there is no trace of civil rights left. This deplorable situation is the result of the absolute dictatorship imposed on people. The regime has replaced the people’s joy and happiness with death and humiliation.

A contemporary example of the happiness of the oppressed and proud people of Iran is their rejection and boycott of the regime’s sham presidential elections to compensate for the crushing defeats following the death of Ebrahim Raisi, “The Butcher of 1988.” For Khamenei, losing Raisi meant a bleak future for his regime and the collapse of projects aimed at consolidating and exporting terrorism and fundamentalism worldwide. Bringing in second-rate and hardline figures in the sham presidential race was not only ignored by people who have witnessed these performances for decades but also indicated anger, separation, and struggle against the religious charlatans and plunderers. The world clearly saw that most Iranians, even according to the regime’s ridiculous falsification of statistics, despise the mullahs’ rule and want regime change.
