Moldovan Parliament Majority Supports Iranian Resistance and Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan

A majority of the Moldovan Parliament has endorsed a statement calling for the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and supporting the Ten-Point Plan proposed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). This plan envisions a democratic Iran with a clear separation of religion and state and gender equality.

The statement, signed by key figures within the Moldovan Parliament, urges the international community to recognize the Iranian people’s right to uprising and the legitimacy of the Resistance Units in their struggle against the IRGC.

Among the notable signatories are the heads of the Foreign Affairs, Judicial, Administration and Development, and Health and Family Support Committees, along with ten deputy chairs of various other committees including Foreign Affairs, National Security, Economy, Judiciary, Budget, Human Rights, and Agriculture.

The Moldovan Parliament’s statement highlights several critical issues:

1. The Iranian regime is conducting a sham and absentee trial against the leadership of the resistance and 100 members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). This move is intended to justify terrorist actions against them, particularly in Europe, and to pressure European countries into restricting their activities, especially those based in Ashraf-3 in Albania.

2. During the 2022 uprising, the Iranian people outrightly rejected any form of dictatorship, whether monarchical or theocratic and demanded regime change and the establishment of a democratic republic.

Furthermore, the statement delineates five core demands:

1. Condemnation of severe human rights violations in Iran, particularly the oppression of women, and a call for accountability for the perpetrators of the 1988 massacre for their ongoing crimes against humanity.
2. A call to all nations to support Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan for a democratic republic based on the separation of religion and state and gender equality.
3. Strong condemnation of the Iranian regime’s actions against Iranian dissidents in Ashraf-3 in Albania, emphasizing their rights under the 1951 Geneva Convention and the European Convention on Human Rights.
4. Recognition that the Iranian regime has blocked all avenues for political change, thus the free world must acknowledge the Iranian people’s right to revolt and the PMOI-led Resistance Units’ right to confront the IRGC.
5. A firm condemnation of the Iranian regime’s destabilizing role in the Middle East and its warmongering policies, along with a call for the IRGC to be listed as a terrorist organization and the implementation of oil sanctions against the regime.

This declaration from the Moldovan Parliament marks a significant step in garnering international support for the Iranian Resistance and underscores the global call for a free and democratic Iran.
