Argentina Court Blames Iran For Deadly 1994 Bombing Of Jewish Centre

Agence France Presse (AFP) – The ruling, cited by press reports, said Iran had ordered the attack in 1992 on Israel’s embassy and the 1994 attack on the Argentina Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) Jewish center.

The court also implicated the Iran-backed Shiite movement Hezbollah and called the attack against the AMIA — the deadliest in Argentina’s history — a “crime against humanity,” according to court documents cited by media reports.

“Hezbollah carried out an operation that responded to a political, ideological and revolutionary design under the mandate of a government, of a State,” Carlos Mahiques, one of the three judges who issued the decision, told Radio Con Vos, referencing Iran.

PMOI Resistance Units support Maryam Rajavi 10 point plan

In their latest activities, PMOI Resistance Units have been actively demonstrating their support for Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan for the future of Iran. This comprehensive plan outlines a vision for a democratic republic that rejects both the religious dictatorship of the mullahs and the tyrannical monarchy of the shah, and instead affirms the sovereignty of the Iranian people.

The Resistance Units are a network of activists and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). These Resistance Units have been at the forefront of challenging the Iranian regime’s repressive measures and keeping the flame of protests and resistance alive across the country.

In Tehran, Resistance Units members installed a poster of Maryam Rajavi along with the first article of the 10-point plan, which declares the NCRI’s commitment to the sovereignty of the people as opposed to unelected rulers:

The US Commerce Department added several entities to its Entity List, restricting their ability to import US goods and technology. Suspicions have arisen that these entities are offering technical assistance to the Iranian regime’s drone program. Among them are:

  • Shenzhen Jiasibo Technology Co. (China): This company is accused of being part of a network procuring drone components for an Iranian aircraft company. These components are believed to be used in Iran’s Shahed-series drones, which have been involved in attacks on oil tankers and used by Russia in Ukraine.
  • Two UAE-based entities (Khalaj Trading LLC and Mahdi Khalaj Amirhosseini): These are suspected of violating US sanctions on Iran by attempting to export US goods to Iran.

United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) Urges U.S. to Deny Entry to Iran’s Foreign Minister Amidst Human Rights Concerns

On April 10, United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace called on U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to deny a visa for Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, a senior member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and his delegation ahead of their anticipated visit to New York next week. Amir-Abdollahian is expected to attend a United Nations meeting on the Israel-Hamas conflict on April 18, 2024. However, recent revelations of his involvement in planning the October 7 attack on Israel and the IRGC’s training of Hamas terrorists have raised concerns.

April 18 also marks the 41st anniversary of the Iran-backed Hezbollah bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983, which killed 63 people, including 52 Lebanese and American Embassy employees, and injured 120.

iran-gas-rafinery2

Mansour Daftarian, the head of the Iranian Gas Engineering Association, has announced the beginning of a decline in pressure in the South Pars gas field, stating that the country’s gas production will decrease by 30 to 40 percent over the next five years.

On March 29, Daftarian stated that studies on the production and consumption of gas in the National Iranian Oil Company indicate that the maximum gas production of South Pars in 2039, under current conditions, will be 400 million cubic meters per day. If the South Pars pressure boosting plan is not implemented, this amount will decrease to 200 million cubic meters per day.

Syria’s Silence: A Signal of Shifting Alliances Away from Iran

Khamenei wanted to hit two targets with one arrow by attacking Israel. First, to establish himself as the primary power in the region. Second, to quell any uprising within Iran and address the explosive societal situation. He also aimed to boost the morale of his passive and fractured forces and proclaim continued suppression. However, Khamenei made a major miscalculation as both the weakness of his regime within Iran and its lack of legitimacy among the Iranian people became evident. Now, all mercenaries and regimes associated with Khamenei are trying to distance themselves from him.

Therefore, all their stances and actions must be analyzed within this framework, including the reaction of Bashar al-Assad, the dictator. Yesterday, Iran’s Foreign Minister went to Syria, yet no Syrian official welcomed him at the airport. Regime media also described this as a strange move. Najah Mohammed Ali, an Iraqi analyst, commented on Bashar’s behavior, saying Bashar did not hold its annual Quds Day ceremony as it typically does, and the Syrian people did not take to the streets.
