Judiciary Head Seeks Extradition of MEK to Thwart International Trial

By hurling baseless accusations against the MEK, the regime seeks to manipulate and create a pretext for terrorist actions and pressure on Western governments

  • Once again, the Iranian Resistance calls upon the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, and international human rights organizations to expedite the international trial of the blood-soaked rulers of Iran. This call is directed at convening a trial with the presence of representatives of the Resistance.

Gholamhossein Mohseni Eje’i, the criminal chief of the regime’s judiciary, who for the past four decades has been continuously involved in crimes against humanity, even obtaining a diploma in brutality as a so-called Sharia judge in notorious Evin prison, has resorted to panic in the face of widespread international calls for the prosecution of regime leaders. In a series of absurd statements, he aims to evade trial by deflecting the blame on the MEK and by demanding their extradition from Western countries.

Eje’i, responsible for the hasty trials of tens of thousands of political prisoners, many of whom have been subjected to execution, said that the MEK has killed thousands of the regime’s people. He says, “Not only the Islamic Republic system…but also many parents are disgruntled… see that the Islamic Republic even wants to provide a fair trial for them. On the first day, they are told, if you want to have a lawyer, you may proceed. Which country do you have in mind that should establish a court for terrorists?”!

The criminal chief of the regime’s judiciary, well aware of the global public’s detestation of the mullahs’ regime, further asserts that Western countries “must definitely hand them over; they must definitely stand trial… they must face the consequences of their actions.”

The aim of this criminal mullah’s declarations, similar to issuing indictments for the MEK and 107 of its members, is not only to divert attention and hurl baseless accusations against the MEK but also to apply additional pressure on Iranian dissidents and facilitate terrorist activities in a bid to evade international trials.

124 former presidents and prime ministers, along with 3,600 legislators from 40 countries, including the majority in the U.S. Congress, the majority in the French National Assembly, and majorities in the legislatures of the UK and Italy, as well as 75 Nobel laureates, have expressed their support for the Iranian people’s uprising for a democratic republic and demanded the trial and “accountability of regime officials for crimes against humanity”.

The Iranian Resistance calls on the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, and member states, as well as international human rights bodies, to expedite the international trial of the bloodthirsty mullahs of Iran with the presence of representatives of the Resistance and to take a resolute stance against the judiciary head of the mullahs’ regime. The regime’s record of executions and mass killings has been condemned 69 times for grossly violating all human rights principles and standards in the General Assembly and human rights organizations within the United Nations.
