Protests and Clashes in Iran

Today, June 28, according to reports from Sarbaz County, located in the Sistan and Baluchestan province of Iran, at least two Baluchi citizens were injured, and a police car was set on fire by angry locals.

According to a local news source, following a dispute between the police and a driver of a car, the officers started shooting at the people inside the vehicle. Following the incident, bystanders and eyewitnesses intervened and clashed with the police.

The injured individuals were transferred to Iran-Shahr Hospital, but further details and the identity of the injured citizens are currently not available.


McCaul Introduces Bipartisan Res Declaring a Nuclear Iran is Unacceptable

Washington, D.C. — House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) along with Congressmen Brad Schneider (D-IL), Doug Lamborn (R-CO), Jared Golden (D-ME), Joe Wilson (R-SC), Brad Sherman (D-CA), Rich McCormick (R-GA), and Kathy Manning (D-NC) introduced a bipartisan resolution reaffirming the United State’s enduring commitment to preventing a nuclear Iran.

“In the face of unprecedented nuclear provocations from the Iranian regime, it is vital the United States make clear that a nuclear Iran is unacceptable,” said the chairman. “I am proud to lead this bipartisan resolution declaring with no ambiguity that Iran must not be able to obtain a nuclear weapon, and that the United States is willing to use all means necessary to prevent a nuclear Iran. Nothing is off the table.”

Congresswoman Tenney Issues Statement Calling for Snapback Sanctions on Iran

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) today raised serious concerns following the release of a congressional letter calling for snapback sanctions on Iran only after the rogue regime enriches uranium beyond 90 percent, which would be at least 24 times the limit allowed under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). In her statement, Tenney argues this would be too little, too late, and that snapback should be triggered immediately in response to Iran’s persistent non-compliance with its commitments.

This new approach, which was earlier marked in a statement by 117 former heads of state to the leaders of the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and European Union member states, calls for an end to the long-held policy of appeasement toward Iran’s regime.

In the statement, the signatories write, “We urge your nations to stand with the Iranian people in their quest for change and to take decisive steps against the current regime. This includes blacklisting the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and holding regime officials accountable for their crimes against humanity.”

However, there was a horrifying case involving a 28-year-old woman named Maryam Soltani, who was murdered by her father and two brothers in one of the villages in Khoy.
