Press Association – The stone-throwing demonstration outside the British embassy in Teheran yesterday was organized by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) claimed today.
A spokesman for the NCRI said the information came from resistance sources inside Iran.
He also claimed that the so-called students were all members of a paramilitary force and taken to the embassy by bus.
The spokesman also said that the explosive material as well as two truckloads of bricks and gravel had already been taken by the IRGC to the scene.
“The area around the British embassy compound is a high security location, making it impossible for any person, let alone fully-loaded trucks, to even get close to the area.”
He added: “We condemn the abduction of the British sailors that was planned and carried out by the IRGC. Only a firm policy, and not appeasement, will lead to the release of the hostages.”
