Today, despite the ongoing inhumane executions and widespread arrests, the people of Zahedan once again took to the streets after Friday prayers. Protesters chanted various slogans such as “Death to Khamenei,” “Shame on Khamenei, let go of the country,” “I will kill whoever killed my brother,” “Death to the regime of executions,” “Basij and IRGC, you are our ISIS,” “Mullahs must get lost,” “Poverty, corruption and high prices; we move toward overthrow,” “We swear on the blood of those fallen that we will continue this path to the end,” “ We don’t want a child-killer government,” “My martyred brother, I will avenge your murder,” and “Freedom, freedom, freedom.”
The brave people of Zahedan carried placards that read: “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader (Khamenei),” “Political prisoners must be freed”, “Neither crown nor turban, the regime’s time is over”, “Monarchy (Shah) and Velayat (mullahs): a hundred years of crimes,” “Neither monarchy nor Leadership, democracy and equality,” “Surrender is forbidden, sorrow is forbidden, mourning is forbidden,” and “We kept silent for a few days in honor of the month of Ramadan, they executed everyone. Therefore, silence is forbidden even during the forbidden months.”
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), praised the people of Zahedan and said that the Baluch rebels showed that by accepting the price of freedom, they will not submit to silence and surrender, and their cry is loud and resounding. She added that today, all the people of Iran, especially the nationalities under a double oppression, know very well that the only way to achieve their freedom and basic rights is to overthrow Khamenei and establish people’s sovereignty.
