Iran’s nationwide uprising witnessed its 212th day on Saturday. Despite state-sponsored mobilization and media fanfare, the people of Iran boycotted the regime’s so-called “Quds Day” ceremonies on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. Instead, popular protests and daring endeavors by Iran’s rebellious youth continued to challenge the ruling tyranny across the country. They burned down propaganda posters of the “Quds Day” throughout the day and night.

Parents and locals in the city of Shahin Shahr in Isfahan Province, central Iran, took to the streets on Saturday, protesting the recent wave of chemical gas attacks by regime operatives against schoolgirls in this and other cities across the country. A large crowd of protesters demonstrated against these horrific attacks and chanted anti-regime slogans, including:

“Down with the dictator!”

“Down with the child-killing regime!”

“So many years of crimes! Down with the mullahs’ regime!”

On Saturday, regime operatives in Sanandaj, Mahabad, and Izeh resumed their chemical gas attacks against innocent schoolchildren. Targets included the all-girls Sherafat and Khadijeh schools in Sanandaj; the all-girls Shafei School in Mahabad; and the all-girls Kowsar & Parvin Etesami high schools in Izeh. Many students were poisoned and several were rushed to hospitals. People in different cities also hold gatherings on Saturday to voice their grievances, especially over the country’s nosediving economy caused by the regime’s incompetence and rampant corruption.

  • Nurses and medical staff of the Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences in Sanandaj rallied outside the provincial governor’s office, protesting economic woes and demanding answers.

  • In Ilam province, workers of a petrochemical plant in Dasht Abbas and contract workers of a refinery in Dehloran rallied and demanded their delayed paychecks and bonuses.
  • Villagers near the city of Tonekabon in Mazandaran Province, northern Iran, scuffled with regime officials and authorities who sought to present a forged document and a large number of the villagers’ lands. Local activists report that regime security forces opened fire on the villagers, killing at least three and injuring several others.

Locals in Tehran’s Shahrak-e Bagheri district were chanting anti-regime slogans on Friday night, including: “Down with Khamenei!”

Italian Lawmakers Urge Policy Changes To Support Iran’s Pro-democracy Opposition

A multi-partisan group of Italian senators and members of parliament held a conference on Wednesday to express support for Iranian protesters and pro-democracy activists, and to call for changes in Italian and European Union policies toward the Islamic Republic. The conference coincided with the release of a statement, signed by a majority of Italian senators, “supporting the Iranian people in their struggle for a secular and democratic republic.”

Both the statement and conference made explicit reference to the National Council of Resistance of Iran as the prospective guarantor of that future system of government. The lawmakers also pointed to a “ten-point plan” for transition to this system, authored by Maryam Rajavi, the individual designated by the NCRI to serve as transitional president when the current regime is overthrown.

Protesters Continuously Target Regime Sites Across Iran

Iran’s nationwide uprising is witnessing its 211th day on Friday as various cities are reporting protests by people from different walks of life. Brave youth and MEK Resistance Units have also been actively targeting the regime’s sites in response to the mullahs’ atrocious chemical gas attacks targeting innocent schoolgirls throughout Iran. People throughout Iran continue to specifically hold the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei responsible for their miseries, while also condemning the oppressive Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and paramilitary Basij units, alongside other security units that are on the ground suppressing the peaceful demonstrators.

Hijab Plan Enforcement to Commence in Iran on Saturday

The clerical regime will officially begin on Saturday, April 15, dealing with Iranian women and girls who do not comply with the compulsory veiling dress code and new Hijab Plan. The commander in chief of the State Security Force, Ahmadreza Radan, told the press today, “The Chastity and Hijab Plan will be enforced starting tomorrow according to the previously declared plans.”
