For the past six weeks, brave young students have marched on campuses from the northwest to the southeast of Iran, to kick off the day’s “Death to Khamenei” chants and then pour into the streets to mingle with their compatriots in flash protests, showing the regime that they will not rest until this regime is gone.
The regime has boosted security at universities and flooded campuses with as many Basij forces it can muster these days to prevent demonstrations, but protests continue by a defiant generation, and the regime is coming up short.
Today, the Raisi government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi visited Khajeh Nasir University and faced the students’ rage as they booed him away with chants of “We don’t want a corrupt system, we don’t want a murderous guest”, “Spokesman get lost”, “Death to the mullahs’ regime”.

Students in many universities also consistently chant “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader [Khamenei]” in a pointed message to all listening throughout the world that this revolution aims to relegate all forms of dictatorships, past and present, to where they belong.
As reflected below, today’s protests showcase the younger generation’s resistance and the spark they and the organized resistance provide for an uprising that will continue to the regime’s downfall.

- Tehran – Students of the Islamic Azad University-Medical Sciences Faculty chanting: “This is no longer a simple protest; this is the beginning of a revolution!”
- Tehran – Students of Tehran University – Faculty of Psychology & Educational Sciences chanting: “Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!”
- Isfahan – Students of the Islamic Azad University of Isfahan (Khorasgan) Branch chanting: “All these years of crimes! Death to the mullahs’ regime.” Here also they are chanting “Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!”
- Isfahan – Students of Isfahan Technology University chanting: “This is the year Seyyed Ali [Khamenei] is overthrown!”
- Falavarjan, Isfahan Province – Students of Islamic Azad University of Falavarjan chanting to the IRGC paramilitary Basij units & campus security: “Shame on you! Shame on you!”
- Ahvaz – Students of Chamran University of Ahvaz held a protest gathering on this 39th day of the nationwide uprising. They chanted: “Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!”
- Bandar Abbas – Students of the University of Hormozgan chanting: “College students rather die than live in infamy.”

At one of the girls schools in Tehran, the Sadra Girls High School, clashes erupted when parents learned about mishandling and interogation of students. According to local reports, the principal closed doors, ordered students to take off their clothes, searching for cell phones. The principal has savagely beaten several students, prompting families to rally outside the school, sources suggest.

The incident is a clear indication of what the future holds for Iran. As the wall of fear has found serious cracks, Iranians have learned to stand up for their rights wherever and whenever possible. Assured by a public outrage and the eventual support they will receive, Iranians have hundreds of other reasons to protest and stop tolerating what they previously held for inevitable.

Live Report: Iran’s Nationwide Uprisings Sees New Surge Coupled With Massive Support in Berlin
Sunday marked the 38th day of Iran’s nationwide uprising, which has continued despite repressive measures by the regime and constant internet outages.
Protests in Iran have to this day expanded to at least 197 cities. Over 400 people have been killed and more than 20,000 are arrested by the regime’s forces, according to sources of the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). The names of 241 killed protesters have been published by the PMOI/MEK.
