Mysterious Deaths Across Iran Highlight the Regime’s Desperate State of Insecurity

Ayub-Entezari

While the regime in Iran hasn’t yet found the right messaging concerning reports of the suspicious death of Ayub Entezari, an “aerospace industry scientist,” news broke about another young Iranian “scientist,” Kamran Malapour, who was found dead.

According to reports, Entezari was invited to a dinner and when he returned home, he showed symptoms of food poisoning and later died in a hospital in Yazd. Some sources also reported the disappearance of the host after the party.

The governor of Yazd called the death of the “aerospace scientist” a “martyrdom,” a statement that was later denied by the governor’s PR office.

While the regime tried to downplay Entezari’s role, his images were shared on the internet while explaining nuclear achievements to former president Hassan Rouhani in 2019 at the launch of the Ghadir Industrial Turbines Factory in Yazd.

Kamran-MalapourMeanwhile, on Saturday, June 4, some Persian language social media accounts started sharing photos of  Kamran Malapour who was reportedly announced dead.

Earlier, some sources claimed that Kamran Malapour, a native of Izeh city in Khuzestan province, with a nuclear doctorate, had died in “mysterious circumstances” at the Natanz facility in Isfahan province.

Also, according to some accounts on social media, Kamran Malapour’s family was told that he had died in an accident at the Natanz site.

IAEA Resolution Against Regime Will Derail Vienna Talks, MP Threatens

MP-Abbas-Mahmoudzadeh-Meshkini

In an interview with the state-run Tasnim news agency, Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini, the spokesman of the regime’s parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, warned against a possible resolution at the IAEA Board of Governors meeting and said: “I do not think that the IAEA wants to play with its credibility by issuing a resolution against Iran. The Westerners themselves know that issuing such resolutions against Iran is not binding.”

Meshkini even went so far as to claim that none of the NPT member states has had the level of cooperation with the UN’s nuclear watchdog as much as Tehran.

He warned: “If there is the slightest bit of rationality in the officials of the agency, no resolution will be issued against our country. If the IAEA wants to play a political role in the process of our country’s peaceful nuclear program, firstly, it has burned (trashed) its credibility and, secondly, it is disrupting the Vienna negotiation process.”

Iran’s Regime Is Riddled With Irremediable Crises

Protests-following-Metropol-building-collapse

In his speech on June 4, Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei shed light on his concerns through one very specific and telling sentence: “Do not allow anyone to depict the status quo as if the establishment has reached a dead-end!”

But the facts on the ground show that the regime is in fact stuck in a dead end with no way out. A look at the different crises engulfing the mullahs provides a better understanding of how desperate Khamenei and his Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) are becoming despite their brouhaha in the face of the international community.
