Iran: Former MP Acknowledges People’s Hatred Toward the Regime
Hossain Marashi, one of the Iranian regime’s former MPs, acknowledged that Iranians hate the ruling theocracy. He underlined that skyrocketing prices, unemployment, and poverty have caused people to demand regime change more than before.

Reports by the Iranian opposition, Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), indicate there have been several protests on Monday by Iranians from all walks of life.
On Monday, contract medical and health workers in Qom rallied outside the Qom Medical Sciences University seeking official employment and job security for all their services, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.
Locals in Shadegan, southwest Iran, held a rally and protested the unsafe conditions of their roads and regime officials’ refusal to take any measures in this regard. Anti-riot units were dispatched to the scene. Reports show around 2000 protesters.

State Media: Millions of Iranians Can’t Afford Basic Goods
“Most people can’t afford basic goods necessary for healthy living, such as meat,” state-run daily Mardom Salari warns. “The consumption of these goods is at its lowest level in recent years,” the daily added.
Mardom Salari added that the increase in prices and inflation has severely affected people’s lives “The quality of life for many people is at the lowest possible level,” Mardom Salari warns.
The food basket of a family of four costs at least 120 million rials, Mardom Salari writes. “With wages of workers around 40 million, it shows the depth of the human catastrophe taking place,” Mardom Salari writes.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, December 26, 2021, that the COVID-19 death toll in 547 cities has passed 492,400. In Tehran, the death toll has reached 115,200, Khorasan Razavi 39,780, Isfahan 33,970, East Azerbaijan 17,008, Kerman 13,247, Kurdistan 8,112, Ardabil 6,230, Zanjan 4,710, South Khorasan 4,336, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 3,810.
