A group of municipal workers in Yasuj gathered in front of the regime governor’s office in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad to protest and demanded payment of five months’ due salary.

Today, a number of candidates for the Qeshm Refinery Heavy Oil Recruitment Test held a protest rally in front of the Taban Energy Pasargad Company building to protest the uncertainty of their employment status.

On September 4, Javan daily, a Revolutionary Guards’ affiliated newspaper quoted Kariminia, Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran’s Biological Defense as saying: “A contract for the monthly production of 2 million doses of Sputnik vaccine in Iran was signed between Actoverco and Sputnik Russia, and this contract was widely reported by the media and all over the country. But in July, Dr. Raisi, the ministry’s deputy health minister, announced that the Russians had screwed us. But why don’t you complain to the international authorities? Why don’t you tell the truth to the people?”

But as a matter of fact, the Russians did contract the Actoverco company to produce the Sputnik vaccine in Iran and deliver it to Russia, not Iran! In fact, Russia has outsourced the production of the vaccine.

Un Workgroup Calls for Investigation Into the 1988 Massacre of Iranian Political Prisoners

The international community must investigate the fate of political prisoners executed by the Iranian regime in 1988, the United Nations Working Group on Enforced Disappearances stressed in its latest report to the UN Human Rights Council.

“The Working Group reiterates the concerns expressed about the ongoing concealment of burial sites of those forcibly disappeared and allegedly executed between July and September 1988 across the country,” the report reads in part. “The Working Group recalls that an enforced disappearance continues until the fate and whereabouts of the individuals concerned are established and joins the call for an international investigation into the matter.”
