Sixteen People Killed in Road Accident in Kurdistan Province

Today, according to state media reports, sixteen people were killed and eight others were injured when a minibus overturned on the way from Kamyaran to Palangan.

Due to the systemic neglect of road infrastructure as well as the transportation sector severely suffering from state affiliated gangs that have a monopoly over car spare parts, Iran has the highest number of road and traffic accidents in the world, and every year, many Iranians lose their lives on the road.


UNSG Report Reveals Severe Human Rights Violations in Iran

Ahead of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations published his report on human rights in Iran.

The report states: “The widespread of the Coronavirus in overcrowded prisons in Iran, which lack accommodation and basic health procedures, poses a greater risk to the lives of prisoners. Several prisoner deaths have been reported due to contracting the virus, including Salem Zand in Zahedan Prison and Kazem Ebadi in Ardabil Prison.”

The Secretary-General stresses his concerns that particular groups of prisoners have been excluded from the Covid-19 release plan, including political prisoners, arrested protesters, lawyers, and human rights defenders.

BEIRUT (AP) — A delegation of four U.S. senators said Wednesday that America is looking to help Lebanon overcome fuel shortages that have paralyzed the country. But they warned the import of Iranian oil into the crisis-hit country could have “severely damaging consequences.”

Forced Migration Against Baluch Minority Continues

The houses of Baluchi compatriots in Moradabad, Chabahar were destroyed by Khamenei’s criminal agents. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 93,646, Khorasan Razavi 29,785, Isfahan 26,290, Khuzestan 24,531, Mazandaran 15,470, East Azerbaijan 14,303, Fars 14,222, West Azerbaijan 13,998, Gilan 13,730, Alborz 11,633, Qom 11,145, Kerman 10,348, Golestan 9,475, Hamedan 7,743, Central Province 7,553, Kermanshah 7,003, Hormozgan 6,910, Yazd 6,863, Kurdistan 6,257, Bushehr 4,584, Qazvin 4,404, Zanjan 4,005, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 2,959.

Iran: Judiciary Spokesperson Downplays Leaked Videos of Torture in Evin Prison

As outrage over leaked footage of torture in Tehran’s Evin prison continues to spread, a spokesperson for the Iranian regime’s judiciary tried to downplay the event by comparing it to things that happen all across the world. Zabiollah Khodaian, who has just started work as the spokesperson of the judiciary, said in his first press meeting that “the mistakes of a few soldiers” should not be attributed to “all the employees” of the Prisons Organization.

Citizen Detained for Torching Dead Terrorist Chief’s Statue in SW Iran

The Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor in Yasuj, southwestern Iran said today that a citizen was detained for torching the statue of Qasem Soleimani, the dead chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp’s Quds Force. According to the state-run ISNA News Agency, after the video of the burning statue was published on social media, security forces identified the “culprit”. Ali Malek Hosseini, the Yasuj Prosecutor said the “culprit” was transferred to prison following his “confession” during interrogations. The name of the detained citizen was not stated in the report.

At dawn on September 1, 2013, Iran-backed militias attacked Camp Ashraf in the north of Baghdad, Iraq, the base of members of the Iranian opposition Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI) for 26 years. According to footage and evidence, attackers were special Iraqi forces Golden Corps, affiliated with Iran-aligned Prime Minister of Iraq Nuri al-Maliki. During their six-hour invasion, Iraqi forces exploded several buildings and facilities, damaged dozens of vehicles, and captured, handcuffed, and fired coup de grâce shots to 52 MEK members. Ebrahim Raisi, the Iranian regime’s new president has appointed a replacement to the chief of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI). Mohammad Eslami, an official blacklisted by the United Nations, has been chosen to assume the role in the AEIO after having previously served as the Minister of Road and Urbanization for the regime. Salehi, who had been the face of the regime’s nuclear project since 2013, played a pivotal role in the nuclear negotiations that led to the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the deal that allowed the regime to keep key parts of its nuclear program and preserve secret pathways to atomic bombs.

A young prisoner was killed after being flogged in the city of Ahar in northwestern Iran. According to the AZNews TV website, the young man was identified as Hadi Attazadeh. Hadi passed away a few hours after being lashed as punishment by judicial agents in Ahar Prison. Footage of his funeral and footage showing marks of his lashed back was also published in the report.
