Protests and Rallies Continued on Sunday
Today in Tehran, young teachers gathered outside the Ministry of Education to demand official jobs. They have been sleeping on the streets for the past few nights and say they will not leave until they get their rights. Also, school janitors gathered outside the Ministry of Education to express their economic woes. “We won’t back down till we get our rights!” “Poverty line is 10mln; Our wages are 3mln!” they chanted.
Cattle ranchers in Ahvaz, northwest of Iran, gathered outside the local mayor’s office protesting the rising price of their livestock feed while the price of their goods are decreasing, making it extremely difficult to put food on the table for their families. Also in Ahvaz, a group of retired steelworkers rallied outside the ram’s Social Security Dept of Khuzestan Province demanding higher wages&overdue pensions.
Farmers gathered today outside the Governor’s Office in Shush to demand their water rights and protest a ban on farming in the summer. Also in Shush, Social Security pensioners gathered today outside the Social Security Org. to express their economic grievances. They say their pensions put them under the line of poverty. Municipal workers in Khorramshahr continued their protest today and marched on the streets to demand 6 months of their unpaid wages and 10 months of their unpaid insurance. Elsewhere in southern Iran, pest control workers of Haft-Tappeh Sugarcane Complex continued their strike for the eighth consecutive day. They are around 160 workers protesting the complex’s refusal to extend their contracts.
In Isfahan, Steel Company pensioners gathered today to protest the inadequacies of their health insurance and express their economic woes.

Over 321,900 deaths, the fifth peak official begins across Iran
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as of Saturday afternoon local time, July 3. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 84,627, around a fourth of the actual figure. The coronavirus death toll in various provinces include: 75,296 in Tehran, 21,750 in Isfahan, 20,396 in Khuzestan, 19,605 in Razavi Khorasan, 13,098 in East Azerbaijan, 12,600 in Mazandaran, 10,827 in Fars, 10,641 in Gilan, 7886 in Sistan & Baluchistan, 7620 in Golestan, 7418 in Kerman, 6638 in Markazi (Central), 4825 in Hormozgan, 4548 in North Khorasan, 3490 in Zanjan, and 2509 in Kohgiluyeh & Boyer Ahmad. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

Iran: Holding Entrance Exams Amid COVID-19 Crises
Despite repeated warnings by the country’s health officials, the Iranian regime held the national entrance examination with nearly 1,112,000 participants on Wednesday. Iran is now going through its fifth Covid-19 wave, and the death toll is over 320,000.
The regime held the national entrance examination, while on June 30, 2021, Alireza Naji, director of the Institute of Virology Research, warned about the spread of the Covid-19 Delta mutant virus in Tehran (source state-run Resalat daily, June 30, 2021).

MEK Resistance Units Express Support for Free Iran Global Summit
As Iranians worldwide prepare for “The Free Iran Global Summit,” people across Iran show their support for the annual gathering of the Iranian Resistance. In various cities across Iran, activists sent video messages in support of the large gathering “The Free Iran Global Summit” that will be held from 10 to 12 July.

On Saturday, graduate teachers held a rally in front of the education ministry, protesting the unemployment conditions. The teachers were chanting, “We have a science degree but are still unemployed,” “Our demand is employment,” and “We will not leave until we get our rights.”

On July 1, Gholamhossein Mohseni Eje’i was appointed as Iran’s new Chief Justice by the regime’s Supreme Leader. Eje’i was formerly First Deputy to Iran’s Chief Justice, Ebrahim Raisi, who will take office in August as President. The 64-year-old cleric is known as a violator of human rights. Eje’i has held intelligence, security, and judiciary posts, and has had direct involvement in death sentences, torture, and mass killings for four decades.
Baluch Worker Killed by Border Police in SE Iran
A Baluch worker was killed by border police on July 2 in Rask, southeastern Iran. According to the Baloch Campaign website, the Baluch man was identified as Faghir-Mohammad Lelahizehi. Faghir-Mohammad and a few others had left for work and were resting on the way back when border police opened fire on them. The Baluch worker was shot in chest and heart area, and passed away.
Iran: The Connection Between the Vienna Talks and Attacks on US Forces
Since the beginning of April, with the start of the Vienna talks for revamping Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers (JCPOA), drone strikes on US bases in Iraq have increased. Most of these attacks are attributed to militant groups affiliated with the Iranian regime, especially Kata’ib Hezbollah. The question is, is there a connection between the increase in attacks and the Vienna talks? Interestingly, most of the news of these drone strikes was reported by the media affiliated with Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) with pomposity.
UN Official Join Calls for Probe Into Ebrahim Raisi’s Role in 1988 Massacre
On June 19, Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raisi was officially announced as the eighth President for the Islamic Republic of Iran. Iran’s Judiciary Sentences Political Prisoner Hossein Kheiri to Death
Iran’s judiciary has sentenced political prisoner Hossein Kheiri to death. Babak Paknia, the lawyer of the political prisoner Hossein Kheiri, described the latest developments in the case of four people accused of “moharebeh” for “destroying people’s property in order to oppose the regime” and said that three of them have been acquitted of the charges while Mr. Kheiri has been sentenced to death.
