Iran: Protests of 2,000 Looted People in Ahvaz (Southern Iran)

Nearly two thousand Ahvaz people, looted by financial institutions affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and other oppressive institutions, including the Arman Vahdat Cooperative, continued their protests during last week on Wednesday night of October 18. They chanted to the criminal leaders of the regime: “let Syria alone, care about us”, “if you reduce your embezzlements a bit, our Problems will be solved”, “Death to Saif (Head of the Central Bank of the regime) “, “Khuzestanis die, but never accept ignominy”,” I fight, I die, I shall take back my money”.

Participants in this protest rally in front of the governor’s building in Ahvaz broke the building door in response their demands being ignorance by the regime’s corrupt leaders.
They clashed with suppressive forces who attacked them brutally and chanted slogans against the government.

During the clash, a number of people were arrested and were transferred to an unknown location. The youth and women, some of whom had their children with them, played an active role in the demonstration.

The protesters carried a number of banners with slogans against the Central Bank and the injustice they are suffering.

This protest continued on Thursday night, Oct. 19, with the slogans: “I fight, I die, I shall take back my money “, “Who has taken our money? Those behind the scene”,” Is this Central Bank, or theft center? “.

Meanwhile, the people looted by the Afzal Tous government institution staged another protest rally in front of the UN office in Tehran on Wednesday, October 18. A number of other looted people gathered in Mashhad, who were brutally attacked and detained by the repressive force. The protests continued on Thursday in Tehran.

In her message on October 16, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi called on all the people, especially the brave youth, in various cities of the country, to express solidarity and support for the looted people. She added, “The wealth of the Iranian people is entirely in the service of consolidating the domination of religious fascism and the warfare and the export of terrorism, and is looted by the leaders of this regime. She said that Iran’s economy is mainly in the hands of the Revolutionary Guards; therefore, economic relations with this regime have no legitimacy and are totally against the people and national interests of Iran and must be stopped.
